SNOOVY
from Toronto!
What do hippie parents and too many zeppelin albums make?
SnoovyToronto's veteran grrl rocker gives you the flower child
experience in a blend of her own jumpy rock hits and moody ballads. Her
sweet and sultry vocals and heavy-handed acoustic rhythm guitar will
make you go groovy all over, baby. She's the Montreal Fringe Fest's
battle of the bands winner, the Toronto pride stage chick rocker,
University of Manitoba's flute choir diva, and California's speed metal
folkie. A true tour baby at heart, Snoovy joins the Roadshow to spread
more peace, love, and rock and roll.
Broken hearts and braindead political musings got you feeling withered
and just a bit . . . meh? Seems that every time Mick Gael would turn
around, he'd find the same thoughts and aspirations laid out in the same
words. Inspired by underground heavyweights like the Posies, Billy
Bragg, and Gregory Corso, he's determined to bring an unflinchingly
honest and critical eye to postmodern acoustic pop. He'll be singing
songs and reading from his forthcoming novel, The Sorrows of Alexis
Cooper. (http://www.livejournal.com/~popjunky)
Kristyn Dunnion, aka Miss Kitty Galore, is a wig-wearing party on
wheels, author and notoriously naughty hostess. She is a saucy, bossy
Macho Femme. Her first novel, Missing Matthew, is for 8-12 year olds.
Mosh Pit, her queer punkrawk teen novel, is also published by Red Deer
Press. Ms. Dunnion has short stories published in the queer anthologies
Geeks, Misfits and Outlaws (McGilligan Press, 2003) and Anacoenesis
(Trade Queer Things, 2004). She likes big boots, shaved heads, loud
music and lipstick.
