Nitya Venkateswaran - classical Indian dance. Born in the Bay Area, began her Bharatanatyam (South Indian Classical Dance) training at the age of four from Vishal Ramani, Artistic Director of theShri Krupa Dance Company. As the second graduate of Shri Krupa, Nitya has been performing with the Shri Krupa Dance Company for the past 18 years. She has also given multiple solo performances for the past two years in Chennai's (Madras) Dance and Music season which were received with wide acclaim. She currently lives in Berkeley, continuing her dance training in Bhartanatyam and Modern technique. She thanks ArtSF for giving her this chance to perform.
