Not every film is a masterpiece, and most weren't made to be anything more than a movie. The KFJC Psychotronix Film Fest both ridicules and triumphs the accomplishments of past filmmakers by presenting the works of noble journeymen. The people whose productions were designed to be temporary. That "work-for-hire" attitude that may have overlooked genius, but did have it done on time and on budget. Just because their pitch was better than the final product, that is no excuse to ignore their films.

On Saturday night, December 6, at 7 p.m., in Room 5015 on the Foothill College Campus, the KFJC Psychotronix Film Festival gives homage to the Babbitts and the businessmen. The people who made films for the moment, not for the ages. It also give tribute to those who struggled against the odds and made their filmatic statement, only to be covered under by the shifting sands of time and taste.

This night of 16mm films offers many delights. Door prizes and surpises are always included. Old television commericals, trailers, bizarre short subjects, and other bits of film from our recent past. There are no age restrictions, either for the films shown or the audience we admit.

Look on it as history, laugh at it as dated, or maybe remind yourself to be careful how we are pictured today. Be part of a film tribute, a rememberance of things past, and a social gathering.

The KFJC Psychotronix Film Festival offers you the chance see the flickers of light in a darkened room, the ridiculous and the sublime, with a talent to amuse.

Come early for best seating. You may accuse us of selling out, but we would hate to tell you that we have sold out. The KFJC Psychotronix Film Festival will be hosted by Robert Emmett. A $5 donation benefits KFJC, and being located on the Foothill College Campus necessitates a $2 parking fee.
