This workshop will "help regional and local artists and design professionals understand the physical and social context in which public art exist," and will "educate local artists regarding the mechanics of developing a public art project ."

There are two routes this could go....art & technology driven works that are exciting and innovative and represents the creative spirit of San Jose, or the usual static, status quo art....come and give them your much needed input. Speak up now, or live with it later!

The draft Public Art Master Plan for Mineta San José International Airport will be presented to and considered by the Airport Public Art Steering Committee at this community meeting.

Public input is welcomed and encouraged. No background in the arts necessary in order to participate!

If you're in L.A. this weekend stop by the Orange County Fair for a live Aerosol painting demonstration by Man One, Sacred194, Vyal and Mark27. They'll be out there Saturday and Sunday, July 17-18 from 1-6 p.m. painting two large scale pieces to promote their upcoming exhibit at Orange County Center for Contemporary Art.

State of the Union opens at OCCCA August 7th from 6-10 p.m. featuring some of L.A.'s top street artists.
