DON PENDLETON
Don Pendleton grew up as a skateboarder in a small town in West Virginia...a rural area in the middle of nowhere as far as metropolitan US cities go. Having a father who painted, he was always drawn to art and eventually skateboarding and art became one for him. He went through the standard phases of skating....shop sponsorship, factory sponsorship, contests, a few small tours and lots of demos.
During that time, he started to paint his own graphics and draw when he wasn't out on his board. After a quick degree at the local university, he took any art job he could find until he landed a position doing graphics for Alien Workshop. He stayed there for eight years and then eventually ended up at Element Skateboards. Still doing what he loves, you can find him out on his board when the weather gets nice or in front of a computer or canvas working on new images.
He now lives in Ohio, focusing on the fine art aspect of his career still in a fairly small town and prefers less crowded regions, wooded areas and slower paces to the hectic life of big cities.
