Inspiration for their Dual Duel:
As two Mexican-American artists, our intent was to create a series of diptychs that portrayed our culture with two different contexts. One, in a historical perspective from the roots of our culture, juxtaposed against the second canvas that shows how our people are currently portrayed in this country.

About the Artists:

Man One
An artist, curator, multi-award winning illustrator, mentor and entrepreneur, artist Man One believes in the transformational power of art and its power to save lives and make the world a better place. Man One believes art gives mankind an essential and irreplaceable cultural language in which to express and know itself. Man One believes art can transcend cultural and socio-economic barriers, fostering understanding, mutual respect and unity among disparate peoples. Man One believes these things are possible because he's seen them happen through the power of his own art and the art of others. Growing up in Los Angeles, Man One developed his love for art, developing his skills as a graffiti artist on the streets of LA. He honed his talents as a fine artist and understanding of art history at Loyola Marymount University where he earned his Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts.

Victor Sepulveda
Born in Los Angeles, CA. Victor Sepulveda started drawing at the age of eleven. From the beginning he liked drawing and creating, over the years he took art classes in school where he learned to use different mediums and acquired different skills, Pencil, Oil, Airbrush, Digital Illustration, and Graphic Design being some of them. Spending the most time with the Airbrush, it became his weapon of choice, for over twenty years he developed great control over it, being able to do very intricate detail and also developing his own style which has brought him the most recognition.
