Inspiration for their Dual Duel:
"Ferris Plock and I started a collaborative exhibition between Japan and US in 2016 and have had two group exhibitions (including one last year in TOKYO) but I realized that we have never worked on one piece together, so I started thinking about what would that be like?. I came to the conclusion that my characters and his would definitely create an extraordinary world, so I wanted to make this Dual Duel piece as a kick start of a huge achievement in the future, such as collaboration on a mural project or something. I simply wanted to have fun with our characters playing on one piece." ~Yoshi47

About the Artists:

Yoshi47
At the age of twenty, Yoshi47 moved to California, U.S.A. He spent four years in the Bay Area doing live painting and exhibiting his work in solo exhibitions and art events while working as a bike messenger. In 2006, he returned to Japan. Initially he lived in Tokyo, where he continued to work as a messenger and became involved in the bicycle industry. He continues to exhibit his artwork worldwide with shows in Australia, China, America, Canada, France, Mexico, Sweden, and Taiwan. He currently resides in a country side Chita Peninsula, where he can ride a bike, surf, enjoy fishing, camping and snowboarding.

Ferris Plock
Ferris Plock lives and works in San Francisco CA. He and his wife, Kelly Tunstall,  join forces and collaborate on a regular basis. Much of his work would be described as stylized characters. These days he is very much into patterns, ukiyo-e, bonkers monsters, salads, and long walks. He and his wife have two beautiful children, ages 9 and 6. Their kids keep them young and old at the same time.
