About the Artist
In 1998, at the age of 15, Yescka began to paint graffiti on the streets of the city of Oaxaca, Mexico, hence his passion for Art and entered the School of Fine Arts of the Autonomous University Benito Juárez.

His interest in taking art to the streets is clear, in 2006 when a very large political-social movement arises in Oaxaca from which Yescka takes up street art to express the social disagreement that exists in Oaxaca.

In the same year, Yescka unites with various artists who converge and decide to form one of the most prominent groups in Oaxaca, ASARO (Assembly of Revolutionary Artists of Oaxaca), in order to make an art more committed to society in which their feelings and disagreement are reflected.

Most of Yescka's art is exposed in the streets, since for the urban artist it is very important to bring art to open spaces where the public is much wider and there is a more direct communication with the viewer. For the Artist, art is a tool which helps us to communicate, because for him it is the oldest language that has worked to generate realities that promote development, empathy, development and human sensitivity.

YESCKA has collaborated with institutions such as the UN and was the artist interviewed by Antony Bourdain during his visit to Mexico in 2014 for his CNN program “Parts Unknown”. He has participated in exhibitions and made interventions in different parts of the world such as Germany, Spain, USA, Sweden, Switzerland, France, UK, Peru, Colombia, Venezuela, and Cuba.
