Peter St. Lawrence
One Part Matter, One Part Energy
"Oakland based sculptor, Peter St. Lawrence exhibits recent work including a series of mulit-media dioramas that appear in his latest animated short which will premier at Anno Domini."
I don't know if you need anything more descriptive. The work is all multi-media though my background is in ceramics. Just about everything lights up from the inside. I've been making cartoons with the dolls I make for about two years. This newest one is longer and more complex than anything before. The central character is an ape that peeks out of the holes in his walls to observe the surreal happenings outside. The whole thing is done with a dramatic lighting rig. It looks like cartoon-noir or something. It's hard to describe the plot. It's more like a surreal art-cartoon.
