Zero Cents is a painter who lives and works in Tel-Aviv Israel. His work can be seen from the cities streets to the walls of museums and galleries. The work he does deals mostly with morals, values, society, and gender and incorporates repeated imagery such as transgender beings, party hats, balloons, backwards writing, cars and American flags. He hates fish but loves tacos and prefers the company of drunken men.

Various & Gould
Various & Gould met at art school in 2004 and share a lot of interests like exploring the public space, love for materials and techniques such as paper and silk-screening and a joy of working with other people.
By collaborating, Various & Gould complement each other very well. Serious themes like work, migration, (sexual) identity, financial crisis are being dealt with in a playful, intuitive way.

I am mostly attracted towards a fantastic sometimes horror imaginary - I don't know how to explain exactly why, I've always been attracted by dark, surrealistic, bizarre imagery, since I was a kid and I was watching tons of horror and fantasy movies. Depending on my mood the images I create, are either very dreamy, colorful, smooth, with a fantastical feel, either really dark, horror, sharp, monocromatic drawings. Sometimes I go abstract, when I don't feel like drawing, I'm just playing with colors and textures and graphic signs, symbols, etc. So I guess I have a few alter egos who consecutively take over my personality....or something....
One of my first influences was a friend of mine from my hometown, used to watch those movies together, and then draw what we saw, even tried to make some kinda sci fi, horror comics.
And then of course, my girlfriend Heliana (Aitch), one of my fave artists, had a big influence on my style, techniques, etc, but also the hundreds of artists whose works I follow every day on their blogs and flickrs, I guess they all have more or less impact on my imagery, style, technique, etc
Probably movies and books have a pretty important influence, though I cannot specifically identify which artist or which movie or book had an influence on which particular work of mine, they're all mixed up there in my head and they just come out from time to time, sort of like dreams. Recently I started to make up a story behind each character I create.....some sort of really short biography, written in 1st person, from the character's point of view....

Aitch _ Berlin, Germany
Aitch is an artist and illustrator from Romania, currently living in Berlin, she graduated the University of Art and Design in Timisoara, Romania, exhibited in many galleries from Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Romania, Denmark, US, etc.
She started drawing weird chubby fantastic creatures while she was in University, as some sort of subversive reaction to the academical way of treating the human body and anatomy. She developed these characters more and more until she got to gather some of them in a book about "Domestic Monsters", which remained in the prototype state. The book contains illustrations and short biographies of monsters who are responsible for all the daily troubles like tangled hair, fear of driving in cars, waking up in the middle of the night to eat, getting a shitty present for Xmas, falling asleep in class, etc.
Some of her artworks contain even bizarre religious details mixed in with fantastical creatures in nightmarish scenes - she identifies the early, boring, smelling of wax and frankincense, mornings spent in the church in her grandmother's village, as influences for the series "Saints and Sinners".
She recently started to apply all her experience with character design, graphics, illustration, in hand made pillows, plushies, brooches, pendants, has been selling them in art fairs and flee markets and shops in Berlin, Barcelona, Madrid, Bucharest, Hannover,etc, and has been also featured in many design and crafts magazines."

Ozeas Duarte, aka OZI, is one of the pioneers of graffiti in Brazil, having started his interventions in Sao Paulo’s capital alongside Alex Vallauri. ?
Ozi uses the stencil technique to criticize and make fun of contemporary society. He also helped create Brazilian Graffiti Day with Maurício Villaça and Júlio Barreto. ?He is actively involved in cultural, social and environmental actions and the valorization of urban space.

Rodrigo Obranco is a young artist from the south side of Sao Paulo. A social and cultural activist, Rodrigo has worked in various projects as an art-educator.
On the streets he develops a work with lines and dark colors. On canvas he manages to impress the sweetness of his characters using long brush lines and captivating eyes. ?He is currently developing murals using outdoor leftovers.

Benjamin de Brousse (born in 1979) has been exhibiting in galleries in the US and Europe (UK, France) and currently lives and works in Paris.
ABOUT THIS SERIES (and my current work in general) :
"What could be the meaning of those colorful and more or less abstract shapes, clouds, balloons and rainbows? I think there are three main answers :
First, I enjoy mixing those pop shapes with a more figurative central element. I have always liked both abstract and figurative / pop art, and now I try to mix these influences together.
Second, we live in a world where the information flow has become unbearable. I have read a study stating that due to new technologies, our brains have changed in the past decades : indeed, we are getting more and more efficient at dealing with multiple tasks and very fast stimuli but less able to concentrate and focus over a long period of time. From this perspective, those aggregating shapes symbolize the accumulation of information, an accumulation until meaningless. When everything becomes equivalent, insignificant.
Third, those scattered fragments aggregating around a body or a piece of land is a representation of what I feel about nowadays' world, which is literally falling apart. Ok, it sounds trite, but I am really scared by the daily spectacle of violence. And I am not talking about war, but ordinary violence. Just watching the traffic in a big city is overwhelming. The way people behave when they are behind the steering wheel speaks for itself. There is also the deterioration of basic moral values (it seems the new trend is to pay homeless people to fight each other and post the video on internet... Just one example out of many others), not to mention the ecological decay and so forth. At some point it feels like the world as we know it is soon going to implode, and those abstract bits, although cheerful, materialize this oblivion threat that surrounds us. They represent the few seconds before and after the implosion, a blank space filled with bits of past, present and future. In a nutshell, a kind of "Pop Big Bang"." - Benjamin de Brousse

Barron Storey _ San Francisco, CA
Barron Storey is an art teacher and artist. He is famous for his accomplishments as an illustrator and fine artist, and for his influence on several professional illustrators and writers, including Bill Sienkiewicz, Dave McKean, Kent Williams, George Pratt. The most famous of his works is the cover for Lord of the Flies, a novel by William Golding and the 1979 rendering of the space shuttle commissioned by NASA which hangs in the Air & Space Museum on the National Mall.
